What a wild ride the past 24 hours have been. I've been struggling for some time with the feeling that technology was leaving me behind and now here I am with the beginnings of a website and my first post to my first blog. This girl hasn't even had a Facebook or Twitter account!!!
Yesterday morning I got up thinking that I just had to start somewhere, anywhere to get an online presence. Why not with my own name? A quick domain search on GoDaddy showed that SusanneKarch.com was still available, so Voila! I bought it!!!!
That was a big enough deal by itself, but what was I going to do with it? Thanks to my friend George Kao (see Favorite People button on my site), I knew that Weebly.com was a free website editor and I figured, what the heck? I'll see how far I get before getting frustrated and giving up.
But no! It was one of the easiest and intuitive things I've ever done. In under 2 hours I had chosen a design, created several pages, uploaded pictures and added live links and even added a bit of "content". Who said Menopausal Women can't become Techno-Crats overnight? Try it yourself. Bet you'll be just as proud of yourself as I am of myself. Today a website. Tomorrow Mt. Everest? Who knows ..............
